Die US-Band Garbage spielt am 28. Juni 2026 im Zürcher Volkshaus. Mit im Gepäck hat sie ihr neues Studioalbum «Let All That We Imagine Be The Light» - es ist ihr achtes.

«Let All That We Imagine Be The Light», das expansive, explosive, achte und allzu menschliche Album von Garbage. Es ist das erste, das aufgrund unvorhergesehener Umstände unerwartet entstanden ist. Es entstand, als die Band sich in einer schwierigen Lage befand.

Im August 2024 musste Shirley Manson, die Leadsängerin und Frontfrau der Band, plötzlich ihre Auftritte einstellen. Eine alte Verletzung, die sie sich 2016 bei einem Sturz von der Bühne beim KROQ's Weenie Roast zugezogen hatte, war wieder aufgeflammt und hatte sie ausser Gefecht gesetzt. «Ich bin von der Bühne gefallen und habe mir die Hüfte verletzt», sagt sie. «All die Jahre später ist sie mir zerbrochen.»

The US band Garbage will play at the Volkshaus in Zurich on June 28, 2026. They will be bringing their new studio album “Let All That We Imagine Be The Light” with them – their eighth.

“Let All That We Imagine Be The Light” is Garbage's expansive, explosive, eighth and all-too-human album. It is the first to have been created unexpectedly due to unforeseen circumstances. It came about when the band found themselves in a difficult situation.

In August 2024, Shirley Manson, the band's lead singer and frontwoman, suddenly had to stop performing. An old injury she sustained in 2016 when she fell off the stage at KROQ's Weenie Roast had flared up again and put her out of action. “I fell off the stage and injured my hip,” she says. “All these years later, it's broken.”
